Other Cool Games
As you can probably tell I'm a die hard TOMBRAIDER fan. However, there are occasions when a girl needs a different game to play so here's a list of my favourite other games.

Drakan the Ancients Gates
This is a really, really fabulous game. It is huge and there is so much to it that you can play it again and again and not get bored of it. There are so many quests to do, and once you start flying your dragon you realise just how immense the lands are. It reminds me a lot of World of Warcraft in how you complete the quests, meet different people and travel to different lands. You can also complete different quests in different orders, so each gameplay is different. There is magic to learn, and also shops in different lands where you can upgrade armour, weapons ( and mend weapons), potions etc. The characters you come across are very realistic and very funny at times particularly the alchemist!). The only problem with this game is that there isn't a sequel. If there was I'd be in the shops tomorrow. 10/10 for this gem.
Star Wars The Phantom Menace
OK so this is a PS1 game and if you play it today the first thing you think is how crap the graphics are, I mean really really bad! HOWEVER, you know when you think back to games you played back in the day, you don't remember the bad graphics, you remember the game, parts of it, etc. I recently replayed this after a few years and once you've been playing a few minutes the poor graphics quality doesn't seem so bad. (But it is particularly blocky I have to say). The thing I loved about this game was that it was exactly like being in the film. I wish they would re release it because it would be incredible to play it with modern graphics. The actual gameplay , characters and different tasks are really fun, and so is killing droids. Its not a slasher, you need to use a bit of wit and hiding round corners taking them off one by one at times, so can be pretty challenging. My favourite character has got to be Jar Jar Binks and being in his bubble land. Also, Watto and Jabba are really funny. I loved this game so much that I give it 8/10 and it loses 2 purely because of the graphics which to be fair were all they could probably do back then.
Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 1
A firm favourite in our household, this can be 1 or 2 player so its great fun to go fighting with someone else. Pretty much a lot of killing different things but a great storyline, also the shops where you can upgrade armour, etc, collect different objects, buy and sell. Excellent music, characterizations and different enemies and landscapes make this a great game.
The game's story follows the journey of three characters: Kromlech, a dwarven fighter; Vahn, a human arcane archer; and Adrianna, an elven sorceress, all of whom are playable. Gameplay strategy is different for all characters: the human relies on ranged attacks and stealth, the elf can cast magic spells, and the dwarf is an all-around fighter. Through updating each character, the characters go on to mimic characters of other classes.

Balders Gate Dark Alliance 2
Not as popular in our household as the first, not sure why. A great game nonetheless.
A new dark alliance has formed. And once again the brave are called in from the surrounding lands to sort it out. You can play on your own or co-operatively. There are now 5 characters to choose from: a barbarian, cleric, necromancer, monk and rogue. There are also two unlockable characters available later on. Each character has their own proficiencies and abilities - the barbarian can fight with two weapons at once and the necromancer can raise the dead and so on. Abilities are gained through gaining levels - the higher the level, the more new points you get to spend. Players can now also craft their own weapons using gems found throughout the world.
Both dark Alliance games are set in the most popular DUNGEONS & DRAGONS campaign venue, "Forgotten Realms,"

Neverwinter Nights
I have never been a huge fan of PC games. I'm useless with keyboard controls and too lazy to buy a joystick! Go figure. (Although I did make an exception for World of Warcraft.) However, this game took me by surprise. It's fantastic.
A hideous evil has awoken in the Forgotten Realms. Now, in order to save the inhabitants of the town of Neverwinter, you must uncover a sinister conspiracy, unmask your mysterious betrayer, and complete an epic struggle to defeat powerful forces of evil. Neverwinter Nights combines Dungeon & Dragons gameplay with a fantasy world filled with monsters, stories, weapons, and legends. With the Neverwinter Toolset, you can design your own magic world, and then invite up to 64 of your friends to experience it. Getting online with it took some time but got there in the end.

Icewind Dale
Another great PC game.
The player begins the game by creating an adventuring party of up to six characters. During character creation, statistics including name, gender, race, class, ability scores and weapon proficiencies may be altered. Magic users and thieves have more statistics, in the form of spells and thief abilities, respectively.
Brilliant 10/10

Heart of Winter
This is an expansion pack for Icewind Dale. It introduced many changes and additions to the original game, and included an all-new campaign. A downloadable expansion pack to this add-on, titled Trials of the Luremaster, was released for free.
In order to access the new campaign, the player must enter a previously locked door in the town of Kuldahar while possessing a party of level 9 characters or above, or import a party after the main campaign (at which point it is exported). |

Fable
Great game just the way I like's em! Immense lands to traverse, interaction, stories, quests, you know me!
In Fable, a player's Hero has a measure of good or evil alignment based on the Hero's actions. Good deeds award good points, which produce a positive alignment, while committing evil acts adds evil points, producing a negative alignment. Killing monsters or saving villagers are acts of good, whereas killing innocents, breaking laws, or abusing a spouse will accumulate evil points. Consuming certain foodstuffs can also affect the Hero's alignment; for example, eating tofu will earn the hero positive points, while eating crunchy chicks (because crunchy chicks are assumed to be still alive) will earn evil points. The player may also pray at the temples of Avo and Skorm. Donations to the Temple of Avo will result in good points, while "gifts" to the Temple of Skorm will result in evil points. The alignment affects not only the responses of non-player characters around the Hero, but also the appearance of the Hero himself. A Hero with a strongly positive alignment will feature a halo and a shaft of sparkling light above his head, butterflies fluttering around him and lighter features. An evil Hero emits a red haze from around his legs, draws flies, has glowing red eyes and grows horns.
Other actions besides alignment affect the Hero. Eating too much causes the character to gain weight, while drinking excessive amounts of beer causes Heroes to become sick and vomit. Clothing, which provides defense in combat situations, also changes the Hero's attractiveness or scariness as well as alignment in some cases, and townspeople's reactions to the Hero accordingly. Bright clothing makes the character look more noble to the townspeople, and thus cause them to praise and respect him. Dark clothing causes the character to seem evil or threatening to townspeople and cause them to fear him. Heroes can be further customized via hairstyles, facial hair, and tattoos. The Hero's attributes also affect appearance; high levels of Strength increase brawn, high levels of skill increase height, and high level spells create glowing arcane patterns on the Hero's body.
Beautiful graphics, funny characters, loads of things to do; a brilliant all rounder.

Fable 2
The game takes place in the fictional land of Albion, five hundred years after Fable's original setting, in a colonial era resembling the time of highwaymen or the Enlightenment. Guns are still primitive, and large castles and cities have developed in the place of towns. Unlike the original, the player may choose to be either male or female, while also choosing a character's sexuality, allowing for marriage and sexual liaisons with male and female NPCs.
Ooooh Missus.

Champions of Norrath
Champions of Norrath features a traditional role-playing video game storyline, in which the player acts as a hero who must save the world via a series of quests and battles. The game begins with a quest to assist the elves in their war against the orcs, who have formed an alliance with goblins (which is strange to the citizens of Norrath). However, the player must eventually travel to the underworld and beyond thanks to the antics created by the strange orc leader and his contacts.
Savepoints and portals play a key role in the gameplay. First, savepoints also double as checkpoints, which may be accessed if and when a character dies. The Portals are activated when the player walks near the Portal. They allow the player to jump to key locations in each region. Great game.
